I am not a geek, so i do not have anything to add other than it helps me understand that anyone that has the physical computer can reset an admin password…I went through this to create a new account and reset a password without a cd. It worked, but now my bookmarks are gone! There is not library/safari or library/firefox folder with a Bookmarks.plist on my hard disk or on my time machine backup. I googled and did not see this mentioned anywhere. Can anybody help?

My kid brother got on and did something and now the system auto logs in as a user but without admin privileges. Because of that I can’t change auto log in from preferences.
